As part of the empowerment focus, 20 community youths were recruited through a highly competitive process and trained in two areas, that is Cleaning, Disinfection and Sanitisation in the context of Covid-19; and Basic community mobilisation, data collection, report writing and presentation skills. The youth programme participants were thus responsible for community mobilisation, household profiling as well as disinfection and sanitisation of venues where community engagements were conducted.
This involved screening of participants for symptoms of Covid-19, as well as basic administrative tasks such as management of the register, asset register administration and communication. Data collated from the household profiling process was analysed.
